Marcella C. Mize, nee Szum, of Westchester, age 89. Beloved wife of the late William C.; loving mother of Christine Mize; dear sister of Patricia (Louis) Potempa, Michael (Marilyn) Szum, Bernadette (Roger) Sims and the late Fred (late Rita) Szum; sister-in-law of Sam (Sharon) Mize and the late Betty Mize. Marcella was an elementary school teacher, teacher’s aide and an adult literacy tutor for 20 years. She was active in Divine Providence Church and volunteered on many committees. She loved to play tennis and played in many Bridge groups in the area. Marcella and William traveled extensively in the United Stated and Europe during their retirement. A Visitation will be held at Divine Providence Church, 2550 Mayfair, Westchester on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Private Entombment at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
