In Memoriam Of

Helen Makris

Obituary

Helen Makris nee Georgopoulos, 97, beloved wife of the late George J., adoring mother of Patricia (the late Thomas Mica) and Andrea (Ronald) Painter. Last surviving Makris of her generation. Cherished aunt of many generations of loving nieces and nephews, especially her great nephew Nick Katsivalis who was extremely devoted to his "Thea Len". Preceded in death by siblings Peter, Libby, James and Louis. There is always one person who is the heart of the family and that was Helen. With her strong, yet sensitive, insightful spirit, she always made time for her loved ones, giving freely of herself, expecting nothing in return. She leaves behind a legacy of love and friendship that has changed for the better, all those whose lives she touched. Although her journey on Earth has come to an end, the memory of her will live on forever.
