Jeanine Benetier

Obituary

Jeanine Benetier of LaGrange Park, IL, an intelligent and beautiful woman who loved to read history, anything in the sciences and health fields, a lover of music and dance and further, was a most loving Mom, Sister, and Friend, was born July 27, 1933 and passed on September 3, 2021 after a long illness due to a stroke and dementia. Jeanine is survived by her sister Sheila (Allen) Behle and her sister in law, Maureen Benetier.

Also surviving are Jeanine's six loving children: Chuck, Lee (Rob), Dan, Larry (Chris), David (Annette), and Janet (Chuck); her ten loving grandchildren: Rob Jr., Morgan (Matt), Meghan (Luke), Tim, Joseph (Craig), Dean (Mari), Kelly, Benjamin, Thomas and Mackenzie; and her four loving great grandchildren: Charles, Oliver, Aiden and Ava. Jeanine also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will always remember her loving and strong spirit.

Jeanine is a 1955 graduate with a BS in Nursing from St. Xavier University, Chicago, IL. She started her career as a nurse and was able to experience and be successful in numerous aspects of nursing. She went on to obtain an Associates Degree from Des Moines Area Community College in Information Systems in the early 1970s (a pioneer for a woman) and enjoyed a successful 35 year career across the banking and healthcare fields as a Systems Analyst.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth (nee Swift) and Leon E. Benetier, her brother Leon (Ben) Benetier and sister Patricia (Fred) Escudier.

Jeanine's Family is forever grateful to her wonderful caregivers the last three years: Linda, Julianne, and Kathy who all showered her with compassion, support, and invaluable knowledge. We also thank the wonderful staff at Plymouth Place.

Current Covid Regulations require all in attendance to wear a mask indoors.

Memorial visitation Saturday, September 25, 2021 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Hitzeman Funeral Home & Cremation Services 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield, IL 60513. Memorial Service starting at 11 A.M.
