Reverend Joseph E. Auer, passed away suddenly on December 14, 2020.
Father Joseph Auer was ordained in May of 1957. He grew up in St. Edmunds parish in Oak Park.
Devoted son of the late Angeline nee Graner & Frank B. & (stepson of the late Ruth N.) Auer.
Cherished brother of Robert (Marie) Auer, Bernard J. (Charlene) Auer, Mary Susan (Lawrence) Voeller & the late Frank J. (Joan) Auer, Kathleen (Thomas) Powers & Ronald P. (Marjorie) Auer.
Loving uncle of many nieces & nephews.
Fr. Auer was a teacher at Quigley Seminary, his many parishes included St. Thomas More, Most Holy Redeemer, St. Bridget, St. Ferdinand, Queen of the Universe, St. Catherine Laboure, St. Theresa & currently St. Linus.
Visitation for Fr. Auer will be Saturday December 19 from 8:00 am until 10:00 am at St. Linus Church, 10300 S. Lawler Ave. in Oak Lawn.
Mass of Christian burial will take place Saturday at 11:00 am at St. Linus Church.
Interment will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove.
