Sr. Emma V. Exconde, r.c., 78, member of the religious Community of the Cenacle, an order of Catholic sisters for 53 years. Sister Emma passed away August 7, 2021 at the Ascension Resurrection Life Center in Chicago. Sister Emma's locations of ministry included St. Louis, Houston, Chicago, Warrenville, New York, New Orleans, Philippines and Singapore.
She was the beloved daughter of Paciencia, nee Vazquez and Fidel A. Exconde, Sr. Dear sister of Dr. Fidel V. (Eppie) Exconde, Jr. of Texas, Sr. Ann V Exconde, FMM of the Philippines, Mila E. (Edwin) Mante of the Philippines, Christine E. (David) Bautista of New York, and the late Sr. Nancy V. Exconde, FMM. Dear aunt of many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am (CDT) on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the M J Suerth Funeral Home, 6754 N. Northwest Hwy, Chicago, IL. A recording of the funeral Mass may be viewed at link: www.memorialslive.com/exconde later that day.
The burial of cremains will follow Mass at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in Sr. Emma's memory can be made to the Cenacle Sisters at www.cenaclesisters.org/donate.
